isn't she LOVELY?! another Some Odd Girl digi!

getting all reacquainted with my Copics again, because honestly, i haven't been doing NEARLY enough colouring lately. i had a BIG project to complete for a contestant in the Miss New Jersey pageant, and i felt a whole lot of pressure to do something grand and elaborate. in the end, everything worked out great and the contestant was very happy with my creation/gift, so i'm pleased, but MOSTLY i'm glad to breathe a sigh of relief having delivered the goods! i'm not sure how i got roped into it in the first place - hubbin was asked to help the girl's parents come up with a float idea/design, and he asked if i could come along since i was a creative kinda gal, and the next thing i knew, i had developed the idea for the parade float AND volunteered to make a scepter from scratch! no photos to share yet, but hopefully hubbin will come home with some good ones from the parade so i can add this to my little portfolio of strange but cool accomplishments. :)

SO!

like i said, breathing a huge sigh of relief, and very happy to be getting back to my humble little cards! yesterday's card was the first of many for this week, because we have a gorgeous summery release at Some Odd Girl, PLUS a new Charisma challenge tomorrow (Wednesday) night, and i have some other assignments for co-workers. BUSY!

annnnnd i'm rambling, so i think it's time i just shared my project, don't you? this one's for Day Two of our summer digi release at Some Odd Girl, and i enjoyed colouring this little miss MUCH more than i'd anticipated! pleats still manage to elude me, but i don't think i botched this one up too badly. ;)

heeeeeeeere's Tropical Mae!

(lurrrrrrrve those Piccadilly papers from BG!)

and a close up of the lady of the hour:

isn't she LOVELY?! (the image itself, with the pretty flowy dress, that gorje flower, and that saucy little pose showing off her gams!) she was a ton of fun to colour, and quite similar to our Nouveau Girls (if you haven't heard of them, or aren't familiar, but love the elaborate gowns and pleats, you REALLY ought to CLICK HERE!).

anywho, she's the second of our four digis this week, and you could win her by leaving a comment on our BLOG POST (just remember to answer the question - one each day!). there's still time to get in on yesterday's giveaway too (CLICK CLICK CLICK), and we still have two more to share!

Tropical Mae can be added to your shopping cart or your wish list right now, along with three other new pretties! if i can get a decent amount of sleep and manage to roll out of bed at a decent time tomorrow, i should have another project to share, but in the meantime, i'm entering my bright and summery card at:

Raise the Bar - they're looking for SUMMER inspired creations
Papercrafting Journey - hand-colored creations

and with that, i'm off to bed! 'night, chickens! xo
