mixin' it up and makin' stuff!

this one's not for any DT assignment, just 'cuz i was excited about combining these two images and found a few challenges with which i wanted to play along...

so i guess i'll cut right to the chase...

i used Sigh Mae from Some Odd Girl

and the super versatile The Ivy Swing from Make it Crafty:

LOVE the way these two came together... ANNNNNNND, the sentiment is actually two stamps - NEW ones, but i can't say much more. just a hint of a sneak from Some Odd Girl. ;) (if you come back to visit on Monday, and then all next week, you'll see sneaks of ALL of the new clear stamps being released at SomeOddGirl.com!)

okay, so the challenges that brought about this card?

first of all, The Craft Garden (where the lovely Carlyann, head of the Charisma challenge blog, is a DT member) - they want you to use a BIRD on your creation

Stampin' For The Weekend - their theme is "My Favourite Things"... i'm extremely fond of cute dresses with knee socks and polka dots (i'll take stripey OR dotty knee socks, please!), and i'm totally obsessed with the colour TURQUOISE lately (although ORANGE will always be my absolute fave, natch). so i have the dress, the socks, the dots and the turq. swoon!

and Allsorts chose "Free and Easy" as their theme this month... while i THINK they intended for it to mean an "anything goes" type of challenge, i kind of liked the image "Free and Easy" conjured up in my mind. so sitting on a swing, enjoying nature and the outdoors with birds singing... well that just seemed to make it work all the more for me. :)

and there we go! just a card, for a few challenges, and i hope you're all having a fantastic weekend! i think i'll go finish up some other stuff i'm working on, since hubbin is in our room working on music and i HOPE that means he'll be up late and not getting on my case about cards. the snuggling can wait!
