SOOOOO, without further ado, WELCOME to our March Spring Clear Stamp blog hop! you are hereby invited to hop along to some of the Odd Girls' blogs where you'll catch our peeks using 3 new sets hittin' the shop this Monday. we have SOOOOO looked forward to this release, and we know there's been some curiosity about the "friends" that have been spotted around town. ;) shall we kick things off? let's GO!

if you've arrived via Iwona, then you're probably already off to a great start and you're almost at the end! but if you're just dropping by to visit me, and you want to make sure you hit all the stops, you'll want to head on back to home base... here's the order:

Some Odd Girl Blog
Melissa
Leah C
Faye
Iwona
***ME!***
Annette
Kristy

SO, not only do we expect that there will be lots of drool on your keyboards as you hop along from one gorgeous project to the next, but your fingers might get sore from typing so fast! 'cuz here's the catch... to be eligible to win you must leave a comment answering the Odd Girls’ questions at each stop before SUNDAY, March 18th (midnight EST).

since we are SO excited about this release, we are going a little over the top with giveaways, so we hope you enjoy hanging out with the Odd Girls today!

for my project, i couldn't wait to share this little beauty, who's been peeking around Kristy's blog for a while and you may have seen her. well, Gwen is lookin' sassy with her cute strapless dress and those hot boots! check her out:

i went TOTALLY simple with my card - using the beautiful MME Vanity Fair paper and just highlighting a couple of things by cutting a couple of butterflies - one from the same sheet, and one from another in the pad. one little sentiment stamp (from Fiskars) and a handful of teeny dots of bling and i was READY!

isn't she a little darlin'?

there's much more to the set, but you'll just have to take my word for it when i tell you it's FABULOUS! so, now it's time for my question. i'm gonna make you do some work, of course, 'cuz i kinda feel like we're giving away the farm anyway, and i can't wait to read your answers...

tell me, dear crafty bloggy visitor, what fuels your passion for paper crafting? is it inspiration from fellow crafters? your family? new supplies? special events? recognition for a job well done, or perhaps a prize if you're a challenge participant? i wanna know WHY YOU CRAFT! :)

leave me your response by midnight on Sunday (EST) and i'll have a winner on Monday when our new sets go LIVE! have a wonderful weekend, folks!

  2. Gorgeous! I love how you have coloured her dress! Jeepers! Tough question! I create because I feel cranky and unfulfilled if I don't, and if something I make turns out really well, I get such a great sense of achievement. I also love to buy new supplies, so of course I have to use them! I totally get inspired by reading other people's blogs.

I discovered this lovely hobby last year and I love it. Always loved colouring when I was a girl and now I can do it as an adult:) I carft for many other reasons too but the main thing is that it makes me feel good and relaxed.
What fuels my passion is crafting with my freinds!

  8. Well darn it! I pushed the wrong button and deleted my above comment! Here I go again lol! Leah, absolutly beautiful card! Gwen looks like she wants you to follow her right into the card! Why do I craft? Simple- it's me - it's what I love. (and if I get lost, my friends are there to help me to find my way)

  9. While your card may be "simple" it is beautiful! Why I craft is a long (probably) boring post. I started with the intents to make a scrapbook to show at our wedding because my husband and I knew each other for 11 years before we got married. It turned into a self-esteem builder and a direction in life. Sure crafting is not my whole life but it sure does give me goals that I meet and feel good about.

  16. First of all...this is just amazing! Love the soft colours, clean and simple but so beautiful!

Why I´m crafting?! For all the reasons; I just love it! Sometimes it´s like therapy.

  17. I love your card ... It's georgous! I am usually inspired by my paper crafting friends. We all get together to scrap every Tuesday. We even Skype in a friend who moved to N. Carolina! They are al very talented and fun? And I guess it doesn't hurt that I have a huge scrap room stuffed full of embellishments to use!

  18. I like to craft because it feels like play time. I love new supplies, and especially ones with different colors. Copics fit that description perfectly.

  19. Wow, this is so beautiful! I love your soft coloring. Love it! Why do I craft ? That's like asking "Why do I breathe?"... I would die if I didn't! :) My hands must always be creating, no matter what it is. I love the instant gratification I get when completing a card -- it's a tiny piece of art. Can't beat that!

  20. Wow, super awesome design, I love the papers and layout.

I see you did want us to work kidding lol..
Thank you for the chance you are right it is awesome.

what fuels your passion for paper crafting? is it inspiration from fellow crafters? your family? new supplies? special events? recognition for a job well done, or perhaps a prize if you're a challenge participant? i wanna know WHY YOU CRAFT! :)

I craft because i love the smile it gives to someone having a good or bad day. I love when people really enjoy it and want to try new things. The second reason is I love sharing and it totally saved my life. I have a super stressful job and I had A heartattack. The Dr. Said you have to find a way to destress. I had a friend that took me to a crop, I was hooked for twelve years now and no medication and I am fine now. So stamping saved my life and gives me joy and destresses me everyday.
So Keep smiling all and Thank you

  21. OMG that paper is gorgeous!! And the card, no words.

I craft as a stress reliever and for the reactions I get when someone special recieves a card I made and goes head over heels for it! My grandmother originally started me in crafts by showing me origami and I just never stopped. I also like to leave little presents on my coworkers' desks for occasions such as christmas and easter.

Time just flies when you're having fun...

I get inspired by blogs around, from my friends, my designteamies and from my family.

  38. Gorgeous card! I love her look and the colors you used! Hmmmmm....what fuels my craftiness? I guess it depends on the project, but very often it is people like you and the other ladies that inspire me plus my DH's grandmother (she's 95years old) is my biggest fan so I love to show her what I make.

  42. I started out scrapping to preserve and share family memories. Then I discovered stamps and used that to make cards to give out to family and friends. Then I discovered internet challenges, so now I also stamp for fun, to stretch myself, to learn new techniques, and (hopefully) to win new items to try out before spending money on something I might not like--not that I've found a stamping or scrapping supply I haven't liked yet. lol Scrapping and stamping is great therapy and definitely cheaper and easier to maintain than going to a doctor all the time. :)

  43. I started out as a scrapbooker as well, to do something with all my photos.... Once i had run out of photos, I moved on to cardmaking, and found my happy place. I create cards to take my mind off of all the junk that happens in my life. I create to lose my self in the beauty of it. I create to block out the issues I've been going through with a mentally ill best friend/partner/housemate. But, most importantly, I create for me.

  44. Oh my gosh! Leah... girlie... this rocks!!!!
I love crafting! I've always been artsy and painting and crafting is a fun expression for me to get my artsy side out! Plus it's a lot quicker then ceramics or jewelry making hahahaa

  56. First of all Leah, this card is amazing! LOVE the coloring... love that everything is muted minus her clothes... and I love the over-the-shoulder image. Gorgeous!

Second, I love to craft for reasons. I mostly do it to create things to give unique gifts... I love being able to put together a variety of supplies and make something unique and long-lasting. I love how it feels when someone's face lights up when they see what I've made them. I like how relaxing it is; just seems to drown out the worries and stress of everyday life. But most of all I like to craft because it is a gift/skill given from God and why would I NOT want to use the talent He gave me? It's a blessing that I use to bless others.
