sketch, stamp, stash, stick, SNAP!

playing around tonight, and had all my challenges drawn out from this morning, so i had a HECK of a time deciding which challenges to work on.

my evening went quite well, and i am pleased to have used up some old stash, as well as finishing an idea i'd had, oh, about a month ago but had never gotten around to wrapping up.

first, Sketch and Stash posted challenge #13 this morning (lucky number!), and i liked the sketch so i thought i'd play along... BUT there's a catch! not only did they encourage you to use new or neglected stash, AND to incorporate new or neglected ANIMAL-themed stash, but they are also looking for their next Guest Designer (oooohhhh!)...

here's the sketch they provided:

and here's the card i made, using a little pooch and matching sentiment/accents i had stamped about 6 months ago at my MIL's house after she'd just bought herself a SLEW of new stamps:

i also don't use a lot of green in my cards (except as an accent colour). this card ALSO fits the challenge at Stamp Something, which was to use black and white and one other colour. done!

before i worked on the pooch card, i threw this one together as i'd received some lovely orange chipboard alphas in the mail and this piece of scrap PP was just itching to be used up. another Ketto sent to me by the awesome Miss Kristy - i haven't used any of my own though! :) i just wanted to use some FLOWERS, and that was the challenge over HERE at Cafe Mojo.

and a close-up of the chipboard - i threw on a smidgen of gold Glimmer Mist and a light layer of yellow pearl acrylic paint and the little flowers accented them quite nicely. :)

feedback is most welcome!

ANNNND, stay tuned, for while i may be new here, i shall be hosting some blog candy soon!
