so this week, the addicts of Make it Colourful want to see you
COLOUR YOUR BACKGROUNDS!
and our sponsor for this round... the fabby Magnolia-Licious! look what Diana is giving away to the lucky winner of this challenge:
HOT, right?! well this is a COLOURING challenge, not just a colour challenge, so bust out your Copics, or your ProMarkers, or your Twinkling H20s or, like me, your Prismacolor pencils, and have at 'er! :) here ya go:
deets - i dragged my pencils across the sky for some fine line detail, and i overloaded the colour and blended lots with white to achieve the mottled, grainy look of sand:
i paired up the Make it Crafty "Tropical Beach" image with Some Odd Girl's "Hula Kaylee", and added some of the gorgeous "swirly corners" - Zoe's laser-cut chipboard flourishes... they are SO much fun! lots of beautiful detail, loads of versatility (i painted mine orange), and many designs to choose from (she has THESE hot new laser-cuts in the shop and i am kinda obsessing).
wanna play along? CLICK HERE to see what the ridonkulously talented Colour Addicts have done with their backgrounds (oh my gosh, this team rocks!), and you have until next Friday to join us for your chance to win that yummy Magnolia die!
(by the way, if you're interested in JOINING the Colour Addicts and helping with the challenge blog, CHECK THIS OUT! trust me when i say that you'd be in VERY good company!)
playing along at The Crafty Pad - their challenge is "use a digi" - i went with two :)
tomorrow is my craft fair! looking forward to checking out funky vendors and hopefully selling my inventory down a LOT, so i can keep making MORE! :D
