woo hoo! we made it to friday! i am TERRIBLY excited that the weekend has arrived, because tonight i have the house to myself and i plan to get my craft on! then, tomorrow morning, i shall be heading out bright and early to spend the day chez Adina-Dollie, doing more of the same! it's always better when in good company, isn't it? we have so much going on with the Design Dollies, and lots to talk about and plan as the holidays approach and 2010 is just around the corner! EEP!
annnnnnd, since it's friday, that means that Humble Pie has announced a lucky winner from last week's sketch challenge, and we have something yummy baking in the oven!
this week, the Bakers challenge you to make a CIRCLE CARD... and yet another chance to win $10 in Humble Pie bucks, to spend on your favourite Humble Pie stamps at The Town Scrapper. so what can you do with a circle? so many possibilities for the holidays - tree ornaments, photo cards, window decorations, you name it! i'm a cardy though, through and through, and i had a little play with something a little different for me... here's what i made using a snowman and sentiment from the brand new holiday Sweetie Pie stamps from Humble Pie, by our awesome designer, Heather!
my snowman was coloured with CTMH watercolour pencils and my blendy pen, the candy cane paper is from Heidi Swapp (and that yummy mirror - i'm now in LOVE with these!), and the flourish is Grungeboard painted with metallic watercolours with Ice Stickles added for some glitz.
so what's your circle card going to look like? show us! check out the challenge HERE and see what the rest of the Bakers have been up to! i must say, our kitchen looks and smells GREAT right now! :D you don't have to use a Humble Pie image, but we'd love to see them if you have them!
and so i was feelin' festive, and decided to make some more cards - i'll post the links to the challenges later this afternoon, but here are the cards in the meantime (minus one i can't show you, as it's a Dollies upcoming challenge!) - i had some fun using non-traditional colours and those Jillibean Soup journalling sprouts are FABULOUS!!
for the Cute Card Thursday challenge
and for, um, something else, too. :)
i'll be baaaaack!
and don't forget, you have until tonight at midnight to play along with the Humble Pie Blop! i'm giving away some candy for one commenter to THIS POST - so you'll have a chance to play along with some of our yummy Humble Pie images too (and maybe a few other goodies, just 'cuz). hurry!
OMG, this snowman is incredible! THat big flourish is so delish! YOur card is fabby. Love how you cut the sentiment out....wow, that is some steady hands. Your other cards are just fabby too. Loving all the circles and the colors.
