since when is MONDAY a good day?
honestly, i'm just thrilled that i had a great day on saturday, and now the weekend is over.
not feeling quite so chatty today, so let's cut straight to the chase, shall we?
here's the new Color Challenge at Design Dollies... the colours:
and here's my card, using the fabby C.C. Designs "Kiki la Rue" image from The TownScrapper:
play along?
here's the new prize package for March:
you rikey?

i had a great saturday, spending 15 hours hanging out with awesome ladies (one of them being my mother-in-law!), shopping for yummy crafties, and merrily craftin' away. turns out there's a store about 45 minutes from me that does TWO weekend crops per month, and the cost is only $5! they provide breakfast and dinner, and they mark EVERYTHING in the store down for croppers. 40% off everything? yes, PLEASE!
so i worked on some challenges and tried to get myself outside of the box a little...
this is a layout i did for a challenge in my Cafe Mom group - the challenge was to use analagous colours (had a little fun with the photos - is it weird?):
next, for the Get Sketchy challenge #28, to do a shaped card, with the bonus of a spring theme... their sponsor this week is Daisy Bucket, and i was totally inspired by their logo:
so i used a BRAND NEW image from Some Odd Girl, which will be available on March 23rd, and i had a little fun... (the doorknob is even on the left, and the card opens that way)
close-up to show the "moulding" - i've never used any kind of scoring before, so this was kinda fun and new for me! and "frosted" windows!
also playing along with the girls at By The Cute and Girly, 'cuz they want a springy card, too. i think a happy flowerpot with lots of bright colours should cover that, no? :)
next, for the sketch challenge at Just Us Girls, the FAIRIES challenge at Charisma Cardz, and for the Simon Says Stamp challenge at PaperCraft Planet, to use the colours brown, cream and teal - using an adorable Wee Sprout from The Greeting Farm, available at The TownScrapper:
this last one is for the Sketch Challenge #42 at Limelight - and the twist was to use PAINT... so i turned their sketch sideways, used yummy distress crackle paint on my chipboard pieces, and coloured up the ADORABLE Flappity, from Some Odd Girl (this one IS available, and how PERFECT for an encouragement or Easter card?!)
and i do believe that is it for today. at least for now. i got other stuff done, but can't show you until tomorrow! ;)
