quick!

like a bunny!
HERE to enter for the candy that Sweet 'N' Crafty is giving away - it's BIG! :) (ends New Year's Eve!)

ALSO, visit my sidebar - my lovely friend Diana is looking for a few good men (aka followers) so she can give away some of her hot forthcoming Etsy kits. she rocks, her art is wonderful, and you should be a follower. if not for those reasons, than because *I* said so! :D

and PartiCraft is planning to give out some yummies when they hit 200 followers, so do drop by there too, and tell 'em That Orange Girl sent ya! :D

i will surely be back with more to share at some point today... yesterday was my sweet hubbin's birthday, and we played a gig, and had a ton of fun. i baked a chocolate cake and made vanilla mint icing, then chopped up a bunch of mint gourmet M&Ms and spelled out HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN, and sprinkled the rest all over... it was, well, to die for. it was also my breakfast this morning. :D

today is a Very Good Day

THIRD POST TODAY! PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR NEW DESIGN DOLLIES CHALLENGE AND HUMBLE PIE BLOP! :)

yes, "today is a Very Good Day," said Pooh.
not only did i find out that my October sales were higher even than last month's, and my commission check will be NICE (!), but i received a WONDERFUL package in the mail from Lauren, who is practically my NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR, and there was so much stuff (from her blog candy) crammed into this box that it was bustin' open! gorgeous, yummy stuff:

THANK YOU, nifty girl. i don't know what a few of the things ARE in here, so you'll be hearing from a determined Orange Girl, i'm sure! :)

ANNND, of 196 names, the randomizer picked ME!! THIS IS WHAT I WON!
yummy! november is off to a great start for me, indeed! i may have to celebrate with some candy of my own! :D

who's following? you'll have to follow me to win!

Design Dollies' first NOVEMBER Elements challenge with prizes!

SECOND POST TODAY! PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR THE HUMBLE PIE BLOP! :)

ahoy-hoy! yesterday i posted our first COLOURS challenge at Design Dollies, and the winner for our October challenges!

and TODAY.... we announced the winner of October's second category, the ELEMENTS challenges! congratulations to the lovely KarenB! :) she did such amazing work with our challenges, and i'm thinking that Mr. Randomizer must have recognized this fact as well.

so now, we bring you our first ELEMENTS challenge for the month of November, hosted by the very fabulous Adina-Dollie. here's the prize for which our players will be competing this month:

i, personally, am DYING to try that new Rock Candy yum from Tim Holtz. and those stamps are too stinkin' cute!

so our first challenge is to use RIBBONS AND LACE on your project. any format, any theme, but BOTH ribbon and lace must be plainly visible - and if you do something creative with it, you earn brownie points! ;)

here's what i did, using the super cute Chrysanthemum Fairy stamp i got from The Town Scrapper:

isn't she adorable? i had to resist the urge to get all blingy and busy, because the paper features the chorus from the christmas carol, "we three kings", and i didn't want to cover it all up. whatcha think?

come on over to see what the other Dollies have done, and to play along! don't forget, you can choose to combine this challenge with my Colours Challenge for this week for a chance at BOTH prizes, or you can wait until the next Sketch Challenge is revealed on thursday to combine all three! SEE YOU THERE! :)

HUMBLE PIE Blop with lots of prizes and candy!

Welcome to our Humble Pie Stamps Blop! We are so excited to introduce the new release of stamps in the SWEETIE PIE line, and you will get to meet the new and expanded Humble Pie Design Team!

If you've arrived here from my sweet friend Kim's blog, you're on the right track! If not, please go back to Kim's Kreative Korner to start at the beginning of the blop. My blog is number 7 in our fabulous lineup, so you've got some backtracking to do! Once you have visited all Bakers' blogs, you will end up at the Humble Pie Stamps blog, where you register for a chance to win the GRAND PRIZE! The Town Scrapper is offering our lucky winner two new stamps from the brand new SWEETIE PIE line, plus some other fun surprise goodies!

In addition to our yummy grand prize, many of the Bakers are giving away some blog candy, so be sure to hit all the stops and leave comments to let us know you've visited - we'd love to hear what you think of the new Humble Pie SWEETIE PIES! :D

Check 'em out...

And there is a new page of fabby sentiments - you'll see these all around the Blop, too!

I was approached a few weeks ago to join the awesome Design Team for Humble Pie Stamps and I absolutely fell in love with the SWEETIE PIE images, so I couldn't say no! Our designer, Heather Hambleton has the knack for creating these whimsical little characters that are just TOO cute, and once I started playing with these rubber stamps, I couldn't stop! The quality is wonderful, and they are so much fun to colour! I love being a Humble Pie Blog Manager and am thrilled to share our kitchen with the rest of the Bakers and their amazing talent! :)

So, I decided to tinker around with our new Christmas Maggie with Lights, plus this lovely tree, snowman, and candy cane. See how versatile these stamps are?! Look!

Maggie is coloured with watercolour pencils and a blendy pen, and I added Stickles to make her hat and the lights blingy - you'll probably see a LOT more cards from me using this technique! The sentiment (I love that font!) is a part of the new line as well.

My snowman and candy cane are also coloured with watercolour pencils and a blendy pen - i added some white Liquid Pearls for the snow, and sprinkled some Mainstays flake glitter for dimension and shimmer. The snowflakes are cut from my trusty Cuttlebug.

What do you think? Wanna know how to win my surprise Humble Pie blog candy? Leave me a comment on this post to let me know you were here, that you did the hop and that you want to be entered to win my scrappy prize. I will announce my winner by midnight this Friday, November 6th.

Thanks so much for joining us on the Blop today! Your next stop is our Senior Baker, Lisa's blog - hop on over to see yummy treats she's baked up for you! Be sure to leave a comment on each Baker's blog to be eligible for the grand prize! HAVE FUN! :)

Dollies new challenge, winner, and tinkerin'!

WOO HOO!

so we're kicking off the new round of Colours challenges at Design Dollies, and i think that we had a very successful and fun October!

congrats to mizz Jennifer, who won my first challenge prize! :)

today, we bring you the first of the colour challenges for the month... our combination is....

NAVY BLUE AND ORANGE.

so why did an orange freak like me struggle with my OWN colour combo? not sure, but i've realized that i honestly don't have a whole lot of darker blues in my stash. at any rate, i've played with a free digi that i got from Robyn's Fetish - oh, to get him in RUBBAH! i loves me the rubbah stamps.

isn't this little Pegasus adorable? love him!

here's the November prize for the colour challenges:

you'll have to upload your navy blue and orange project to our dear friend, Mr. Linky, by next Sunday, November 8th at midnight EST, and HERE is where you can find the deets - come play with the Design Dollies! :)

and holy heck, stay tuned for some fun and yumminess TOMORROW! we have some big news at Humble Pie, and i can't wait to share! here's a hint:

i'm so VERY EXCITED about this, and can't wait to spill the beans! don't tell the other Bakers i showed you this little snippet though, 'kay?! ;)

and last, but not least, a card i made for a few different challenges...
Cuttlebug Challenges - My Favourite Things... my favourite thing to do, especially in the colder months, is to sit and drink tea with an old friend... i'm looking forward to catching up with a friend this winter when i go home... i haven't seen her in about 8 years and i have missed her friendship!
Cute Card Thursdays - Drink or Cocktail theme... i'm not much of a drinker, but i love my tea and coffee, so i hope this qualifies!
Inky Impressions - no patterned paper, and add stitching... just solid paper on here, and the white faux stitching with my gel pen.

i'm sure there are more challenges for which i meant to enter this, but i can't find them all right now. perhaps i'll add them in as i remember. :)

now then. imma try to sort through some work stuff, and plow through my day, so i can go to yoga tonight and finish up my card for the next Dollies elements challenge, which we'll share with you tomorrow! have a great monday, darlings! xo
