PRIZES! TownScrapper contest, Dollies challenge

good morning, folks - not my usual perky self today as i've been hit with another migraine, but it's an exciting day in my computer world!

so.
the first thing to announce is that we're having a contest at The TownScrapper! we have a new name for our design team, a few recent additions to the family, and a new logo. hello, i am a SCRAPETTE! grab the logo from my sidebar and plop it on your own with a link to our challenge blog, and leave us a comment on this post by Sunday night letting us know you've done so. you could win one of the brand new, TownScrapper exclusive, Victoria Case stamps!

it's monday, which means it's SHOWCASE DAY at The TownScrapper! we like to show you what other fabulous stamp and product lines Phebe carries at the store, which can be purchased by emailing her, or by calling 519-882-0623. SOON, however, there will be an online store, so we're going to make it MUCH easier to get these yummy products into your hot little hands!

i made a card for Showcase Monday, using a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp:

this little cutie is "Posey", and i used some beautiful Prima flowers, plus some gorgeous papers from the new BasicGrey Origins line, BasicGrey brads (all of these available at The TownScrapper!) and brown lace trim from my stash. CLICK HERE to see what the rest of the Scrapettes have done! and don't forget there's still plenty of time to play along with our 3-BUTTON CHALLENGE for your chance to win a brand new Victoria Case stamp - a TownScrapper exclusive!

we're in the process of contacting all of our new Design Dollies contenders, so we will be making the announcement once we've heard back from those we've chosen with their formal acceptance emails. :) this is fantastic - our first team has been amazing, and we've learned so much from them and made some new friends. i hope we're just as lucky for the second term.

next... another brand new challenge is up at Design Dollies! today, i gave you a HOT little colour combo - RED, ORANGE and 1 NEUTRAL.
here's what i did with some yummy BasicGrey paper and Birdie Inspiration stamps from Unity: (i also submitted this one for the current challenge at the CARDS blog - to use birds but no owls)

play along HERE by Sunday at midnight EST (make sure your project is NEW for our challenge, and that you link back to us in your blog post), and you could win this:

and i wasn't just "working" over the weekend - i got to play a little, too! i saw the sketch and had to get my craft on....
this week's challenge at Paper Garden Projects uses a simple sketch, and i knew i wanted to use these little Wee Sprouts (The Greeting Farm, available at The TownScrapper. here's their simple sketch:

and this is what i did with it:

the papers are DCWV and K & Co., with some BasicGrey bling, My Little Shoebox tiny alphas, and ribbon from my stash. (there's also a teeny-tiny American Crafts REMARKS flourish in the top right corner, but it's a bit hard to see).

i made a couple of other things on saturday chez Adina, but i can't show you yet. :) you should, however, go visit her blog to see the yummy candy she has up for grabs!

with that, i'm off. my kingdom for a NAP...

  5. Leah, love these cards!! The KK image is coloured so beautifully on the first card! That is some gorgeous paper and the flowers are perfect. The card design (scalloped border and its extended width) is very unique. The sympathy card is simple and stunning. The Wild Things from The Greeting Farm make perfect Easter images! Using them for this time of year is not something I thought to do. I will have to give them a shot this Easter season.

Love how you made the front of the card a little smaller with the curved corners and the papers are just DEVINE! And then I love the simplicity of the second card and the third card is just so sweet and clean. Hugs, take care spunky! luv Zoe

  14. holy moly how did i MISS alla this last week?! well anyway, it's cool to have a backlog to catch up on!

i am LOVING that origins card...especially the diecut edge and the way the "flap" is sort of off-cut to land to the left of it...BRILLIANT and eye-catching without being overkill! ♥LOVE♥ it! :)

*adorable* easter card...those stamps are AWFULLY flippin' cute...and somehow you're totally converting me to those shoebox alphas, i think i could easily become addicted to those, as well!

and of course i ♥lOOooOooOove♥ your super-cool take on the sympathy card: that combination of colors and patterns with the sweet bird is completely cool & funky and yet totally respectful & understated at the same time. *HOW* do ya even DO THAT??!?!?! ♥♥♥
