unicorns are pretty cool (so sayeth Dave from Orgazmo!), and when i saw this gorje girl that Kristy created, my jaw fell right to the floor. she's AMAZING, and so much fun to colour!
so yeah, it's day 3 of our new Digi Release Week at Some Odd Girl, and i think you're gonna like this little lady.... check out Unicorn Mae (who's available now by clicking HERE):
RIGHT?! totally drool-worthy! and there is so much you can do with her, as our Odd Girls have demonstrated (click HERE for lots of inspiration!). i hadn't done a monochromatic coloured project in quite a while (like, way back HERE), and i saw that one of the challenge blogs i dig was looking for it, so i wanted to give it another go... seems like this should be a go-to technique for me, because i'm always happy with the way it turns out! here's Unicorn Mae, up close and personal (click her to enlarge!):
if, however, i could go back and do it again, i might lighten up the ink so it would come out grey and softer, but we live and learn, right?!
you HAVE to go see this sweet girl all over the Some Odd Girl blog, because our team is TRULY talented and their creations will take your breath away! not to mention, if you leave a comment (each day of the release, actually, so go back and start at Monday!), you could win the digi of the day! :)
right.
so, new release this week at SomeOddGirl.com - fantasy and lovely and just amazing. branch pot luck luncheon today at work, and i went healthy and made a flippin' fabulous salad. hubbin is going camping tomorrow and i plan to get my craft on (with a few specific things in mind!). summer is winding down and the teachers and students will be back to school soon... frankly, i am pretty excited about that, too! :)
oh, and playing along with challenges at:
Stampin' for the Weekend - they want monochromatic
Squigglefly - they want you to try a new technique or revisit an old one
and that, dear chickens, is all she wrote (for today). i'll be back tomorrow with something to be PROUD of! ;)
