It's the TIMELESSLY ODD HOP! Twine meets Tweet!

***CLICK HERE for the Friends of True's Inky Blog Hop!***

GOOD MORNING!  :)
Do you know what today is, chickens?  It's the one we Odd Girls have been waiting for!  Glad you're here!

The Twine-istas and the Odd Girls are happy to welcome you to their first collaborative BLOG HOP!

Some Odd Girl and Timeless Twine decided to get together for a little playdate, and we are SO pleased you've joined us! We hope you'll find plenty of inspiration as you make your way around to all of the designers' personal blogs, and be sure to leave a little love at each stop along the way, because there are THREE gorgeous spools of Timeless Twine and one $25 gift certificate to Some Odd Girl up for grabs! Our hop, now being lovingly referred to as "The Timelessly Odd Hop", runs now through Sunday, March 17th at midnight EST, so you have plenty of time to make your way around the circuit. It's a big hop, 'cuz we have TONS of amazing designers who were absolutely excited to combine their love for all things cute, quirky, clever, and crafty, so take your time and ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY!

We did that whole product swap thing, and I was SO excited to get me a big ol' roll of Pumpkin Orange and White twine for me to do with as I choose...  So I chose...

I used Tweet Kaylee, and paired her up with the banner stamp from the Make a Statement clear set, plus the "SMILE" stamp from the Everyday Smiles clear set, and proceeded to fill the letters in!  :)  I had some fun punchin' and threadin' and distressin' but stuck with a relatively simple layout to properly showcase Kaylee with the Timeless Twine.  :)  This card was a LOT of fun to make!

Here's my gal Kaylee, all blown up and coloured in Prismacolor Pencils:

But we're not going to ask you folks to MAKE anything (although we wouldn't dare stop you from doing so!)... We just want you to visit all of the stops along the way and let yourself be inspired!  Just remember to leave a comment at each stop, and visit us at the Some Odd Girl blog at the usual time on Monday, March 18th for our announcements!  Good luck, everybody!  :D

You should have made it to the Chronicles by way of Twine-istea Kristy...  BUT, if you've just dropped by randomly and haven't been hopping from the beginning, here's how it's all going down:

So there's your hop list! From here, you're off to visit the totally quirky and utterly LOVELY Lou Mac!  You don't have to visit everyone in order, but you do have to visit EVERYONE if you want to win the goodies!  Just say hi, leave 'em a little love, and you're in the running! And that's your cue, friends! Our winners will be announced on Monday, March 18th. Happy hopping, and GOOD LUCK!

WOOT! who loves unicorns?

unicorns are pretty cool (so sayeth Dave from Orgazmo!), and when i saw this gorje girl that Kristy created, my jaw fell right to the floor. she's AMAZING, and so much fun to colour!

so yeah, it's day 3 of our new Digi Release Week at Some Odd Girl, and i think you're gonna like this little lady.... check out Unicorn Mae (who's available now by clicking HERE):

RIGHT?! totally drool-worthy! and there is so much you can do with her, as our Odd Girls have demonstrated (click HERE for lots of inspiration!). i hadn't done a monochromatic coloured project in quite a while (like, way back HERE), and i saw that one of the challenge blogs i dig was looking for it, so i wanted to give it another go... seems like this should be a go-to technique for me, because i'm always happy with the way it turns out! here's Unicorn Mae, up close and personal (click her to enlarge!):

if, however, i could go back and do it again, i might lighten up the ink so it would come out grey and softer, but we live and learn, right?!

you HAVE to go see this sweet girl all over the Some Odd Girl blog, because our team is TRULY talented and their creations will take your breath away! not to mention, if you leave a comment (each day of the release, actually, so go back and start at Monday!), you could win the digi of the day! :)

right.
so, new release this week at SomeOddGirl.com - fantasy and lovely and just amazing. branch pot luck luncheon today at work, and i went healthy and made a flippin' fabulous salad. hubbin is going camping tomorrow and i plan to get my craft on (with a few specific things in mind!). summer is winding down and the teachers and students will be back to school soon... frankly, i am pretty excited about that, too! :)

oh, and playing along with challenges at:
Stampin' for the Weekend - they want monochromatic
Squigglefly - they want you to try a new technique or revisit an old one

and that, dear chickens, is all she wrote (for today). i'll be back tomorrow with something to be PROUD of! ;)

it's a SOGgy feature... helllooooo Roller Mae!

i'm gonna cut right to the chase today, crafty peeps. we are featuring a digi until March 11th, as a reminder of what fabulous images there are at SomeOddGirl.com that may not be getting as much love, espesh with all the gorje new releases we've shared lately! i was very excited when i learned that Roller Mae was getting some love, and i couldn't wait to pounce! we Odd Girls are happy to show you what this little miss is all about! check her out!

i busted out a few older elements, too, like that Heidi Swapp sentiment sticker, and that K & Company fabric, and those old Jolee's stickers - these things have been collecting dust for well over a year! but Mae? she's not a dust collector. oh no, she is more into collecting dreams and picking flowers and enjoying the sun on her face and the wind in her hair! isn't she the sweetest thing?! can't you just FEEL spring around the corner?

i've always been rather smitten with her. and how appropriate that i'll have a booth at an upcoming craft fair in March that's sponsored by the Broadway Brawlers, South Jersey's own Roller Girls! i can't wait! Roller Mae is ON SALE right now at SomeOddGirl.com for 25% off! ('cuz digis aren't cheap enough to begin with, right?!). CLICK HERE to put her in your shopping cart! :D

and CLICK HERE to see what other ideas the Odd Girls had for this image, and hopefully you'll be inspired!

playing along with the challenges at....

Crafts & Me - they're looking for "Shades of Spring"
Pollycraft - their theme is "Teenage Dream" - when i was 14, rollerskating was ALL i did on weekends!

and i am off to get my workday started! have a fabulous Tuesday, friends! :D

WOOOOOOOOOT! it is FINALLY February 6th, and we Odd Girls have been itching to share some news with you! in fact, there's PLENTY of news at Some Odd Girl, and you might want to go back through a few posts on the Some Odd Girl blog to catch up first....

................

..............................

back? okay, so you've read about our brand NEW team for the next six months, right? see some familiar faces? we are, indeed, THRILLED to have these talented girlies as our newest Odd Girls, and we are totally stoked about the upcoming term!

let's kick things off with a brand new release, shall we? it's Monday, and you know that when Mondays roll around and there's a new release, there are going to be peeks (these aren't sneaks, as ALL of the images are available at SomeOddGirl.com RIGHT NOW!) all week... so enjoy the next four days of features, and then on FRIDAY, we'll be bringing you something extra special! i'll get into that after i share this beauty with you....

meet Flower Fairy!

isn't she adorbs with her little hat? and the leafy dress? well i kinda WANT one of those for myself - wouldn't it look great with leggings and boots? *drool*

yeah, so we Odd Girls have done her up all nice-like, and this is how my card turned out:

papers are all Echo Park, flowers are Recollections, the alphas are BasicGrey, the ribbon is Making Memories, and the big puffy heart is S.E.I. EK Success punch *subtle, but i LOVE this punch!* the chipboard photo corners? dunno - they were a RAK from a sweet friend. outlined stuff with a black Sharpie marker, AND, of course, all colored up with my Prismacolor Pencils. :)

whatcha think? is she fabulous? you wanna see what the rest of the Odd Girls did with this beauty? CLICK HERE and see for yourself! i assure you, they're all gorgeous, and our team's gonna blow your mind. :)

you'll also be happy to learn that there are FOUR of these lovelies now available at SomeOddGirl.com, so you can print 'em out and start coloring them up NOW! 'cuz i know some of you have been itchin' to get your paws on 'em... no time like the present! :D

a couple of challenges for ya

mornin', folks. i know i've been pretty quiet of late, but i'm hanging in there and trying to hold it all together. i've had very little mojo, but decided i needed to do something to clear my mind the other day, so i've combined my Some Odd Girl and Charisma challenges into one little project.

first, Charisma is looking for LACE AND PEARLS on your creations this week. make it as girlie and elegant or vintagey or anything - i took a slightly different approach but i thought it worked well. :)

second, at Some Odd Girl, we have a recipe for you. we want to see a NON white or kraft card base, two patterned papers, a die-cut or punched shape (or more than one, if you like), and buttons. mmmm, buttons. i love those little embellies.

here's my card for BOTH challenges, featuring one of my favourite
digi combos from SomeOddGirl.com, "Toasted and Toastie":

aren't they a cute little pair?

AND, since Some Odd Girl is one of this week's Charisma challenge sponsors,

the other one being the lovely Stamping Boutique,

it's a match made in heaven.

SO, click HERE if you want to join this week's Charisma challenge and enter to win free digis from Some Odd Girl or The Stamping Boutique, and check out what my fantabulatious Charisma Galz teamies have done. you have until next Wednesday to play along (remember you can only enter up to 10 challenges or you won't be eligible).

and click HERE to go to the Some Odd Girl challenge, which last two weeks (projects due by Tuesday, November 29th at midnight EST) - you can win free digis if you're our winner, we feature a couple of our favourite submissions when we post our winner, and we may pin your work to our Pinterest board.

so glad it's almost the weekend. i intend to get reacquainted with my mojo. take care, kids. xox
