I AM SO EXCITED! i was asked just a WEEK ago to join the Design Team for Humble Pie Stamps, and we worked our butts off to have the blog ready for World Cardmaking Day! i am now, officially, a Humble Pie Baker (cute, huh?), and WE HAVE LAUNCHED!
Humble Pie Stamps is a Canadian stamp company with a brand new line of stamps, designed and made for The Town Scrapper, a specialized store in Petrolia, Ontario. The Town Scrapper is owned and operated by the very rockin' Phebe Meeder, a seasoned scrapbooker, stamper, and cardmaker who LOVES what she does, and is very eager to share it!
We will be bringing you weekly challenges with lots of wonderful prizes to be won, and we're happy to share our work with you, but even more anxious to see YOUR creations!
To kick things off, we have a fun prize package to be won, including this BRAND NEW STAMP from the designer of Sweetie Pie Stamps, our very own Heather Hambleton:
(seriously, how CUTE is this stamp?! i can't wait to get my paws on it!)
PLUS, a 6x6 card kit with products from Making Memories' Falala line:
The Humble Pie Bakers have prepared a YUMMY feast (of eye candy!) in celebration of World Card Making Day, and the World Debut of the Humble Pie Stamps blog!
here's my card, using "Dusty":
i wasn't able to print out a new image, so i took the original card and just played with the colouring like crazy. i had originally used watercolour pencils, but it was light, dull, flat and blah, so i layered some more of the same, and used Sakura Gelly Roll pens for more colour, highlights and depth, and i like this MUCH better.
if i can get my printer up and running, i'll be printing out some other digis (as i have to wait for my rubbah to arrive via snail mail, and i was kind of under the gun!)... wait until you see these little Sweeties!
so..... our first challenge is UP! it's a card lift, and i KNOW some of you love the lifts! come on over and play!
(and follow along, too!)
Look at my Diva friend go! Girl you are rockin' right now! Let me say CONGRATS for your recent DT's! :-) This card is fabby! I love the blue hair and your shading is just terrific! I really like how you used the tag on the card. I'm on my way over to follow some Humble Pie!ReplyDelete
