POLL CANCELLED, but how awesome is Heidi?

not me, but my groovy creative friend, Heidi, has been working REALLY hard to land herself a spot on the Torendi design team. her stuff is amazing, and i think she's outdone herself with this card:

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, i implore you! go on over to Heidi's blog for the rundown, or take my word for it and run on over to Torendi's blog to cast your vote, American Idol style! i think she's a SHOE-IN with this balloon card... the glitter (every stripe lovingly sprinkled and done by hand!), the little woven basket, the airplane... is it not STUNNING?!

i'd love to see her win this final round, and the top two vote-winners will earn their spots on the design team! please help!

  9. It is indeed a brilliant card! :o)

OK.. white ink is by Elzybells, and it's the best I've found for cardstock.. completely opaque.. no need for embossing.. Great! She has two kinds.. one pigment ink for CS (called Sugar Candy) and one they call hybrid ink for acetate, vellum, etc (needs heat-setting, ideally).. called 'Whipped Cream'. Link to the Sugar candy one is http://www.elzybells.co.uk/

Oh, and SOH? That's sense of humour! lol ;o)

  10. Hi, again.. Yep, the Merry Christmas was just stamped in the Sugar Candy ink (which is VERY juicy and squodgy and brilliant on kraft and darker casdstocks, and the Whipped Cream was used for the snowflakes on the acetate (heat set).

I can't take credit for the white on kraft idea.. that's Elizabeth's herself at Elzybells. You can get to her blog for more ideas from the navigation bar at the top of her website.

Hope you manage to get some!

    Hugs,
    Chris xx

  11. By the way, if you do buy some, don't think what I thought when it arrives.. I thought it was brown ink she'd sent me, but that's just the colour of the lid!! lol

  12. Leah, once again I want to thank you for being such an awesome friend!! Thank you and your readers for the support!! It was brought to Torendi's attention that there were indeed ways to vote multiple times so they took the poll down and will be choosing another way (they haven't figured out how yet). So much love to you!!! XOXOXOXO!!! - Heidi

  13. Bummer, they took the poll down. You're right, Heidi's card is indeed beautiful - her work is perfect and if it were up to me, she'd be on that design team - I hope they open it up again. You're so sweet, Leah - a warm heart you have!
